We’ve now completed our final live performance of the year, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago’s parliament at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA). Now it’s time for a much deserved rest. But if you’d still like to see the Marionettes performing some of your favourite music, you’re in luck!
In addition to various stations running the Christmas concerts of previous years, this year’s performance will also be on television during the holiday season. So if you were unlucky enough to miss A Prayer for Peace II or want to relive the magic all over again, the performance will be shown on two stations – C-TV and TCN, both on television and via their live online streams. We also hear that C-TV has been concluding their nightly newscasts with Christmas greetings from A Prayer for Peace II! Have you caught any?
A Prayer for Peace II premieres on Christmas Day (Sunday 25th December) at 8:00pm on CNMG’s C-TV (and their free online stream for those overseas), repeating on Boxing Day (Monday 26th December) at 1:45pm (again also available on their livestream).
Our performance of the “Hallelujah Chorus” will also be broadcast at midnight on December 25th, ushering in Christmas Day! So if you’re up late on Christmas Eve, make sure to tune in! C-TV can be found Channel 6 (FLOW Cable); Channels 9 & 13 (Trinidad VHF); Channel 20 (Tobago UHF); and Channel 2 (Trico Cable, Tobago).
Also on Tuesday 27th December, the concert runs on TCN – FLOW Cable Channel 10 at 7pm and online via their free livestream.
