Mark your calendars! From 11th to 13th July, the Marionettes Chorale and Youth Chorale, directed by Gretta Taylor, return with their popular mid-year concert.
This year’s production, called Tributes, once again showcases some of Broadway’s greatest music, with excerpts from “Ragtime” and “Hairspray”, and Bernstein’s “West Side Story” and “Candide”.
But this year, with arrangements by Desmond Waithe and John Arnold, the Chorales also pay very special tribute to some of Trinidad & Tobago’s greatest composers: Andre Tanker, David Rudder, and Ella Andall – with a very special musical guest you won’t want to miss!
Tributes features performances from some of the Chorales’ leading soloists, including Jacqueline Johnson, Marlon De Bique, Tahirah Osborne, Feryal Qudourah, Rory Wallace, and Maegan Pollonais; alongside choreography by Noble Douglas and Dave Williams; with an orchestra led by Leslie Clement and drum troupe led by Everald “Redman” Watson.
Showtimes are Friday 11th and Saturday 12th July at 8pm; and Sunday 13th July at 5pm at the Queen’s Hall in St Ann’s.
Tickets are $125 Open Plan and $150 Reserved, and are now on sale from members of the choir and at the Queen’s Hall Box Office (624-1284).
